The end of 2011 is drawing near so I’d just like to take a moment and reflect on what an incredible journey it has been!
The year began with a fantastic run for our first music video, Bull Riding Babe, which held the coveted number 1 spot on Ourstage.com from November 2010 thru April 2011 (an independent country video chart that is partnered with MTV.) Shortly thereafter we received 6 Detroit Music Award nominations, two of which included Bull Riding Babe for video and song!
Spring brought with it our first appearance on the Fox 2 Morning Show, and then festival season was off and running, with our 3rd appearance at the WYCD Detroit Downtown Hoedown.
Along with shows every weekend all summer long, all over the Michigan area, we also opened for major artists such as Blackberry Smoke and Lonestar, and our summer peaked with a most honored and heartfelt show for our troops at the Veterans Administrations Summer Sports Clinic in San Diego, California.
We also attended some very important meetings in Nashville with top industry people, so stay tuned!!
Whew! Didn’t I tell you we were busy?
By mid-summer, the video for our third hit single from our Behind the Eight Ball CD called Everyone’s A Miracle debuted and proudly again held the number 1 spot on our stage.com for several weeks. I also became a proud member of the Country Music Association (CMA) and both myself and band mate Randy Lopez accepted endorsement deals from Westone and Genz Benz Amplifiers which helped to strengthen our product immensely.
November 1st saw the release of our first single “If It’s Broke (I Can Fix It)” off our next studio album slated for release in 2012., and we closed out this year with the release of our first “Christmas” EP on November 23rd. Demand was high on the holiday album so if you missed grabbing your copy you can grab it through digital download from cdbaby among others.
It is so easy with all that’s going on to lose sight and forget the importance of family and friends and of course, our fans! I just would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your continued support and prayers! May God grant you the desires of your heart in the coming 2012 New Year!
